The Associate of Science (A.S.) in Engineering degree program (with Concentrations in Mechanical/Civil and Chemical/Biomedical) is intended for students who ultimately wish to transfer to a four-year engineering degree program. Upon completion of this program students will: Have acquired a foundation of relevant mathematical, scientific, and fundamental engineering knowledge; Apply mathematics, science, and engineering knowledge to effectively engage in the engineering design process; Understand the collaborative nature of engineering and be able to effectively engage in teamwork and group projects; Understand and be able to apply the professional and ethical obligations of engineers and engineering solutions to employers and society; and Be able to effectively communicate solutions to technical problems through oral and written technical presentations. |
