Surgical Technology Program Description |
The Surgical Technology program prepares students to be an integral part of the surgical team in the operating room. This program sets high standards for students to acquire the necessary knowledge and skills required to meet the needs of our current and emerging healthcare community. The Surgical Technology A.A.S. degree aligns with the current accreditation recommendations of ARCSTA (Accreditation Review Council on Education in Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting) that all Surgical Technology Certificate programs to move toward an Associate’s degree by the year 2021 in order to maintain their CAAHEP (Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs) accreditation. |
