This proposal is for the purpose of expanding the content of the current AA transfer degree in Computer Science to include a concentration focused on computer gaming and computer game development. Adding a concentration in Game Development will allow students to start at Wor-Wic and transfer to a wide array of schools within Maryland, Delaware, Virginia, and Pennsylvania. While attending, Wor-Wic students will learn the basics of game development including; scripting, programming for game engines, game development processes and management of game development. The student will also take relevant general education courses to prepare them for transferring to a four-year university. Upon completion of the two year program at Wor-Wic a student will complete a capstone project resulting in a playable game that the student can include in their portfolio of work.
